Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Procedure
Pre-Admission Instructions
- If you are scheduled to have a stereotactic breast biopsy in our Center, please call your physician’s office for your complete pre-op instructions.
- Please arrive 1 hour prior to your procedure time in order to complete our paperwork & to allow for preparation time for your procedure.
- Please feel free to bring a book or other reading material with you.
- Normally, you will be given a local skin anesthetic only for this procedure, so you do not need anyone to drive you home afterwards. However, if your physician is planning on giving you a sedative prior to the procedure, you will need someone to drive you home after the procedure. Contact your physician’s office for these instructions.
- If you have questions about your procedure, please call your physician’s office for complete details. Please remember to bring any X-rays or Mammograms you may have been asked to bring.
